Owner Representation

Someone on the project should be looking at it from the owner's side of the table.

Owners and contractors may be working toward the same successful project, but they approach it from different perspectives. Contractors understand their trades, their methods, and the requirements of their work. Owners understand their business, their property, and what they ultimately need the project to accomplish.

Sometimes those two worlds simply need a translator.
Coravyn Group serves as a practical link between owners, contractors, vendors, consultants, and other project participants. We help owners understand technical information, proposals, options, and recommendations in straightforward terms, while helping communicate the owner's needs to the people responsible for carrying them out.

We speak project. We also speak owner.
Construction and facility projects develop their own language quickly. Specifications, allowances, exclusions, schedules, code requirements, change orders, and technical recommendations can make even a relatively modest project difficult to follow.
Our role isn't to replace the expertise of the contractor, engineer, architect, or other professional. It's to help the owner understand what that expertise means for their project, ask useful questions, identify decisions that need to be made, and communicate those decisions clearly to the people doing the work.
That translation works both ways. A contractor needs more than “this isn't what I had in mind.” Coravyn can help turn the owner's objectives and concerns into information that contractors and vendors can act upon.

The owner's objectives stay at the center.
Every participant has responsibilities and priorities. Coravyn's responsibility is to keep the owner's objectives visible throughout the process.
That may mean reviewing proposals, comparing options, coordinating communication, documenting decisions, following up on unresolved items, or simply asking a question before an assumption becomes an expense.

For smaller owners without an internal construction or facilities department, Coravyn can provide that representation without requiring the infrastructure of a large organization. Our involvement can be scaled to the project, from helping with a particular decision or contractor selection to representing the owner throughout the project.

You don't have to speak contractor to get your project done.
That's part of our job.

Let's talk.
